What makes a sign ADA compliant?
ADA compliance can be tricky, but don’t worry, Cardinal is here to help! ADA compliant signage must be matte, any glare on signage is prohibited. ADA compliance requires signage to have high contrast between the background and the text. In addition to this, text on ADA compliant signage must be easy to read. Therefore, the font, thickness, and size of the text must meet ADA regulations. Finally, signs identifying specific accessible areas are required to include the customary accessible symbol.
